GENERAL DESCRIPTION
MCC Hostel is located in a recently refurbished historical building that is highly efficient in the use of natural resources and ecologically sound. The youth hotel offers 42 beds in 11 rooms, each one theme-decorated by a group of artists to take you into a parallel universe of myths and legends from Celje's history. You can be tucked to sleep by restless fish on the glittering surface of a lake, or use graphite to leave your mark in the room where you spent your best holiday ever, dress up
as a real ninja, sample the spirit of the socialist past, or find out what in god's name Alfred Nobel was doing in Celje.
The city of Celje is Slovenia's central hub in many ways. It is the cultural, educational, and economic center of the region, and a gem of history in this part of Europe. The picturesque historical center invites you to discover the many secrets of the city's colourful past. This dynamic city with a wide offer of cultural and culinary delights, sports activities, tradeshows and shopping opportunities, is an ideal starting point for trips to many scenic sights both nearby and farther away; the Celje castle and the Šmartinsko Lake are but two such examples. LOCATION
MCC Hostel is located in the heart of Celje, right at the entrance to the city's historical center; railway, coach, and bus station are only a minute's walk away. Adding to convenience, there are two kilometers to the nearest highway exit and one kilometer to the fair and convention center.
ACCOMMODATION
There are five theme-decorated double rooms and two single rooms in the upper floor. Each room is uniquely designed and has its own story. All rooms come with an ensuite shower and wash basin; two of the double beds also have a balcony.
Furthermore, there are four dorms with six to eight comfortable beds in the mezzanine. Every room is decorated with elements of the myths and legends of Celje. The dorms are served by a shared bathroom with separate toilets, a dining and socializing area with a kitchen, and a laundry service room with a washing machine and a dryer. All rooms are equipped with a wash basin and a locker cabinet.
The shared socializing area with a kitchen, as well as the café in the ground floor and the sports park next to the hostel will welcome all guests. Wi-Fi internet access s provided in every room; there is also a cyber corner in the café. Guests are also offered free bike rental to make discovering the city and its surroundings easier.
FOOD
Meals can be provided subject to prior arrangement. Breakfast can be served at the hostel while other meals are offered at the Trač restaurant and hotel Štorman nearby. You may also treat yourself to the exquisite culinary experiences of the restaurants in the historical center.
