Where to find us?
MCC HOSTEL is position in the historical center of the town of Celje in the direct vicinity of the Central Train and Bus Station. The cultural heritage of the town of Celje is graphically depicted by the youth hostels eleven theme rooms. For larger groups and travelers eager to hold on to their student days, we offer 4 rooms with multiple beds. For the ones desiring privacy we offer 7 theme single and double bed rooms. All together we have 42 beds. All our guests are welcome to use our lounge with the kitchen, two seminar rooms, multifunctional hall-room, washing room and the winter garden. All the rooms have an unlimited WiFi internet access and for those who only occasionally want to take a look at their emails, we have prepared a computer corner. MCC HOSTEL offers a wide culinary selection in its vicinity, as well as numerous bars and clubs, where the party lasts till the early morning hours and to help you visit all of these places and explore our beautiful city with ease, you can rent-a-bike without charge.
In order to make our hostel just a little bit special, we’ve employed the help of young artists from Celje, who have outfitted individual rooms, based on the local myths and legends. Details of these rooms have been, in various ways, incorporated throughout the hostel, thus telling a story of unique history, odd characters and other fascinating things our city has to offer.
Surely one time or another in your life, you wished to sleep on the glittering surface of a lake, with the fish silently swimming around you or in a graphity covered room, where you’ve spent the best vacation of your life, to put on a real ninja costume and stealthily creep around the spirit of the socialist past and find out, what the hell was Alfred Nobel doing in Celje. All this and more is offered to you by MCC HOSTEL.
If you wish to experience the feeling of falling asleep amongst urban stories of Celje, you can chose between three 8 bed rooms and one 6 bed room.
Location:
From direction Maribor / Ljubljana motorway (north):
When arriving of the highway, turn left toward the center of Celje. Then, drive 2 km. As soon as you arrive from the underpass, turn right. Youth Centre Celje / MCC hostel will be located on your left side.
From the direction Zagreb / Krško / Zidani most / Laško / (South):
When arriving in town center across the bridge over the river Savinja, select the second roundabout export. Then drive straight 1 km and at the end of the underpass at the intersection make a U-turn. Drive 200m back and as soon as you arrive from the underpass, turn right. Youth Centre Celje / MCC hostel will be located on your left side.
From the direction Velenje / Žalec (west):
After arriving in Celje drive along the bypass road Celje / Lava approximately 3.6 km to the intersection with Petrol gas station (on right side of the Lidl store), then turn right at the Mariborska cesta and as soon as you arrive from the underpass, turn right again. Youth Centre Celje / MCC hostel will be located on your left side.
From the direction Rogaška Slatina / Šentjur / Celje (east):
When you arrive in Celje on Teharska cesta from direction Štore at the roundabout at Picikato select the first export right and drive approximately 2.8 km to the intersection. On the big intersection at Lidl / Petrol gas station, turn left towards the city center / Laško / Zidani most and as soon as you arrive from underpass, turn right. Youth Centre Celje / MCC hostel will be located on your left side.
