Celje hosts the European Handball Championship for Youth (U19) 2017.

Between 27th of July and 6th of August Celje hosts the European Handball Championship for Youth (U19) 2017.

After the European 2004 members' championship, which took place in four Slovene cities and where Tone Tisla's players won the silver medal, this will be the second handball European championship in Slovenia.

At the championship 16 national teams will participate, matches will be played in the Celje halls Golovec and Zlatorog.

The Slovenian national team, led by selector Bojan Voglar will be represented by a generation of handball players born in 1998, who won the 5th place at the last European championship under 17 years ago. The Slovenes in Celje "aim" even higher. Even the medal would not be a surprise.

Izletnik Celje, as part of the championship, prepared 3 one-day excursions under the name Let's Explore Slovenia! You can visit Ljubljana, Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle and Bled (detailed description is in the pictures).

We will also hang out with fans in the MCC and watch the live stream of matches in our Mcc Cafe.

However, if you go see any of the matches in the halls, you are entitled to a 10% discount for staying in any room when submitting a valid ticket on the day of the match!

Support the Slovenian selectors and come to Celje to cheer for us!
