Youth Center Celje
Celje Youth center is a non-profit organization, a place of ideas, socializing and acquiring knowledge. With our infrastructure and a wide variety of activities we enable young people to spend their free time actively and usefully.
We offer a variety of interesting events and a broad spectre of activities such as: workshops (photo, film, rising funds), multimedia cultural events, concerts, exhibitions, theatre plays... Our presence is also known by festivals: Street Olympics – sport events combined with culture, and active participation; Etno Urban festival – cultural festival; Mediafest – festival combining culture and fun and Tribute to festival with representing original sound from world known groups.
We also work on primary schools as volunteers – doing youth workshops on different subjects with pupils. We cover international relations as youth exchanges and EVS. Under organizational structure of Celje youth center also works Regional Eurodesk structure; Informational network Infopentlja; Europe Direct Savinjska; MCC Hostel; MCC Port multimedia center and MCC Kavarna (as caffe). Our projects are founded by: the Municipality of Celje, The Ministry of Education, Science and Sport – the Office for Youth, The Employment Service of Slovenia, The National Agency for the EU Youth Programme, The Ministry of Culture and other sponsors.
