House rules

To make your stay at MCC Hostel as enjoyable as possible, please follow the house rules.

Reception:

Upon arrival at the MCC hostel, check-in is required at reception. Registration of new guests takes place after 14.00, and on the day of departure it is necessary to check out by 10.00.

In case you do not leave the room by 10.00 on the day of departure, you will be charged an additional night according to the valid price list.

Working time:

  • Reception: 7.30 - 22.00 during the week, and 8.00 - 11.00 and 16.00 - 22.00 during the weekend (late arrival must be announced in advance)
  • Celje Youth Center: 8.00 - 20.00
  • MCC cafe: 6.00 - 22.00 during the week, Saturday: 7.00 - 24.00, Sunday: closed. JULY AND AUGUST: 7.00 - 24.00

General:

The key to the room is at the same time the key to the front door.

When a group or individual leaves, the MCC Hostel staff, together with the responsible person of the group or individual, inspects the rooms used. If the bed is not made, a fee of EUR 40 will be charged. If the rooms are very dirty, an additional cleaning fee of EUR 20.00 per room for a group or EUR 10.00 per bed for an individual may be charged.

From Monday to Sunday from 22.00 in the evening until 06.00 in the morning night peace is required. Please do not disturb other guests during this time.

The booked room is waiting for you until 20:00. If there are no special notifications, after this time it is considered that you will not use the room and we can rent it to another guest. In case of later arrival without prior notice, we offer accommodation within the available capacity.

Items that guests forget in their rooms are kept for 30 days and then discarded or handed over for use to local charities / humanitarian / environmental organizations, depending on the item itself.

MCC hostel is a facility with historical and artistic value, so we ask all guests not to damage and remove art objects and other objects intended for accommodation and stay in MCC hostel. It is also forbidden to change the spatial layout of the rooms. For any intentional damage or removal, the guest is required to reimburse the damage.

If you wish to extend your stay, you must inform us at least 24 hours before your previously arranged departure.

In the MCC hostel, sleeping in sleeping bags is prohibited, as comfortable bedding is provided with clean bed linen, which can be changed free of charge for longer stays (over 5 nights).

Guests of the MCC hostel can deposit valuables for free in the safe at reception. MCC Hostel assumes no responsibility for loss of or damage to items that have not been deposited.

Animals are not allowed in the accommodation and catering part of the MCC hostel.

In the hostel we separate garbage and take care of the rational use of water and energy. In the case of gross violations, we withhold a deposit and additionally charge for excessive consumption of water and electricity.

Common areas:

Respect other guests and treat them as you would like them to treat you. Guests can be received at the MCC Hostel’s reception and at the MCC Café.
Overnight stays of guests who are not registered at the MCC hostel and have not paid for their stay are prohibited. In this case, the police are notified and charged double the price per night.

The kitchen in the common area is for MCC hostel guests only. Wash dishes after each use and clean work surfaces and tables. Label the food you store in the fridge with your name and departure date. All unlabeled foods and expired foods will be discarded. If the kitchen is not tidied up, the deposit is withheld.

Accommodation and use:

Technical objects in the common room must be managed diligently and according to the manufacturer's instructions. It is forbidden to take inventory from the common room and from the MCC cafe. It is forbidden to bring your food and drinks to the MCC cafe on the ground floor of the building. Clean common areas after use.

In case of non-compliance with the house rules, the following measures are taken against the violator:

  • temporary or permanent ban on entering the premises of the MCC Hostel,
  • removal from the premises of the MCC Hostel,
  • seizure of your deposit,
  • a claim for damages and loss of income due to the damage caused,
  • the police are called

The amount of damage is determined by the host within the actual cost of repairing the damage. Expenses in excess of the amount of the deposit are settled directly at the MCC Hostel. Exceptions are allowed only by agreement with the management of the institution. In the event that the guest does not agree with this, the damage is determined through the regular legal route, for which the court in Celje has jurisdiction.

We are not responsible for guest injuries. Pets and other animals are not allowed in the hostel.

Keep valuables with you or in a locked closet in your room. You can also deposit them in the safe at reception. We are not responsible for theft, loss or damage to personal belongings in the hostel.

Alcohol, smoking, illicit substances and weapons:

Alcohol consumption is allowed in the common room, it is forbidden to bring and store alcohol in multi-bed rooms.

Storing and eating food in multiple bed rooms is prohibited.

Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the facility. If a fire alarm is triggered due to smoking, the costs of the intervention are charged to the perpetrator and are paid on the spot. The cost of the intervention is charged according to the current price list. If it is found that there is smoke in the room, an additional cleaning or negligent use fee of EUR 50.00 will be charged.

Storing and consuming alcohol in rooms, possession and use of drugs, or possession and use of weapons at the MCC Hostel is prohibited. In the event of non-compliance with this rule, MCC Hostel staff may seize such goods and notify the police.

Important:

Fire regulations and emergency exit signs are posted. Find out the location of the fire alarm and fire extinguishers, follow the instructions of the fire regulations and follow the instructions of the staff.

The use of heating and cooking appliances in the rooms is not allowed due to fire safety. In the event of intentional triggering of a fire alarm without a cause or triggering due to cooking and smoking in rooms where this is prohibited, the perpetrator shall cover the costs of the fire intervention.

Supervision over the implementation of house rules is performed by:

  • owner and manager - Zavod CMLC,
  • MCC hostel staff,
  • the director's service organized for events,
  • security Service.

The above have the right to check compliance with the house rules anywhere in the MCC hostel premises at any time in the presence of a suspected violation, without the permission of the guest.
